History of Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery

Established in 1950, Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery is located in a quiet residential area.

The beautifully treed grounds of Olinger Chapel Hill cemetery are also the permanent home for the Columbine Memorial, honoring the teacher and 12 students who lost their lives in April 1999. Thirteen jet-black granite crosses each have a recessed portrait of each victim.

Families benefit greatly from being served by our highly trained and professional staff, fluent in the most recent industry trends. We also offer valuable preplanning information to help individuals and families with planning needs, and distinctive catering services as a convenience for families to assist with receptions.

Olinger Highland is the recipient of a prestigious 2008 Pursuit of Excellence Award from the National Funeral Directors Association. Only two percent of funeral homes nationwide are so recognized by the NFDA for their commitment and dedication to excellence. Olinger Chapel Hill from Highland recognizes NFDA members for their outstanding community service, professional integrity and ethical standards. Criteria for the award include compliance with state and federal regulations, continuing education and staff development, family outreach and support, and professional association service and participation.
